This was the day in November when Sylvia was home sick with a fever. She looks feverish, doesn’t she? Ima took this picture because after pulling Ima’s hat onto her head, Sylvia shouted, “get the camera!” and then flashed this smile.

Sylvia loves to cook. Here she is, suited up to help Abba prep dinner in an apron Ima brought home from…you guessed it–Sevilla! Or, Seville, Spain.

And then Sylvia started to dance. Is that Flamenca? (And, by the way, this was at the end of her second day home sick from school.)

And here’s Mariel, of course, looking radiant in pink (and in her Uncle Jason’s arms; and in her Aunt Ro’s camera lens). Thanksgiving weekend, seven months old.
